Â鶹¹ÙÍø's Associate of Science in Healthcare Science degree teaches students how to advocate for individuals and communities that are underserved or underinformed on issues related to health and wellness, health-system policies and health management. The program is an excellent opportunity for students at all levels, including transfers with associate degrees as occupational therapy assistants, physical therapy assistants, medical imaging professionals, dental hygienists or respiratory therapists.
The Medical Imaging (MI) Program leading to an Associate in Science degree is a cooperative degree program between The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences (RH-SHS) and Â鶹¹ÙÍø. Admissions for the program is through the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. In addition to the Associate in Science degree, graduates will receive a Certificate in Radiologic Technology from RH-SHS.
Students in the Healthcare Science Surgical Technology Track will receive a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Science from Â鶹¹ÙÍø and a Certificate in Surgery Technology that allows professional licensure from the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the Surgical Technologist National Certification Exam from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
The Applied Health program leading to an Associate of Science degree is a dual enrolled degree program between The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences and Â鶹¹ÙÍø. In addition to the Associate of Science degree graduates will receive a Diploma in Nursing from RH-SHS. The RH-SHS Diploma in Nursing Program is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
The Applied Science program leading to an Associate of Science degree is a dual-enrolled program between the Joseph F. McCloskey School of Nursing and Â鶹¹ÙÍø. In addition to the Associate of Science degree, graduates will receive a Diploma in Nursing from JFMSON. The JFMSON is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
