The Psych/MACC degree is designed for students who wish to become ethical professional counselors skilled in treating mental health and addiction disorders. The psychology major can be followed as a 3+3 curricular track leading to potential matriculation into the MACC program in the senior year.

Alvernia’s Early Childhood Education (PK-4) and Special Education (PK-12) Certifications dual major unlocks an unlimited career potential. The program prepares teachers for preschool through Grade 4 and special education teachers in public and private educational institutions. The program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The dual certification allows program graduates to work as:
• Elementary educators (preschool though Grade 4)

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program leading to an Associate in Science degree is a dual enrolled degree program between Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences (RHSHS) and Â鶹¹ÙÍø. In addition to the Associate in Science degree, graduates will receive a Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from RHSHS. Graduates of the DMS Program are eligible to take the national credentialing exams through the American Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) upon completion.
The Associate of Science Degree in General Science aims to cultivate students’ understanding of the intellectual and philosophical foundations of scientific inquiry while emphasizing applied laboratory skills, data analysis, and scientific communication. The program develops basic laboratory techniques and safety practices, strengthens quantitative literacy, and provides a foundation in the natural sciences through applied coursework in chemistry, biology, statistics, and physical sciences.
