Dr. Haney is an interdisciplinary theologian whose research draws on medieval Christian thought, systematic and liberation theologies, queer and critical theories, and political theory. His current interests consider how rural spaces are constructed as temporally backward within academic, political, and popular discourses. He hopes that this interest will lead to a larger auto-theoretical project in which he seems to understand himself in relation to his rural Wisconsin past.Dr. Haney is originally from rural Wisconsin, and lived in Chicago until recently when he moved to Reading. He has taught undergraduate theology courses at Loyola University Chicago, where he completed his PhD, and Benedictine University.
